They used to be such nice boys... Here's Alex Turner, the best of the bunch, the yoga keeps him sane.

They USED TO? They aren't nice boys anymore? :P
:icondeviantpasta:
No... Not so much... Its understandable though, a lot happened to them in a very short space of time...

Oh well... I don't know what you've got on your mind while you're writing 'they aren't nice boys'
I'm sorry, but I'm curious, what do you mean 'the aren't nice'? :P
:icondeviantpasta:
Well when I first interviewed them it was before things really kicked off, the hype was building in the music press but they were still only supporting at small venues. They were very personable, friendly and there was some good banter. The second time I spoke with them they were a few weeks away from their big number one and they were less easy to deal with, they were curt and less polite, though Alex Turner, pictured here, was more civil than the others. The final time I met them I was interviewing their support act in the week I Bet You Look Good had gone on sale. Speaking with them after the gig they were just offensive and rude, especially Helders and Nicholson. He's now gone on to leave citing the pressure of fame hence my earlier comment about the situation being understandable. On the other hand, many other bands have undergone a similar, though not as meteoric transition from obscurity without becoming difficult, the most glowing example I can give being Maximo Park another band who's career we've followed closely...

Ohhh, I see, I didn't know you had interviewed them. I thought you just write 'they aren't nice' cause you think it is like that without proof, you know. Gosh, I will have to translate the last sentence carefully, my English dissappoints me here :D
Well, I still love their music and maybe I'm naive or something, but I believe they might just had bad day and were very tired - you interviewed them after the concert. It can't be easy when you're a boy from small town only dreaming about fame and suddenly it slaps you with huge power...

Thank you very much for this utterance :)
:icondeviantpasta:
No problem at all... I think their music is very good and how they behave has nothing to do with that so I would fully encourage a full enjoyment of all they produce that is to your liking... And you're right also that fame was certainly a slap in the face for them so if anyone has an excuse to be a bit "mardy" sometimes then they do, hopefully as time goes on they'll be able to adjust...

Mardy, Mardy Bum :D

Oh, and I forgot to tell you some of your photos are really interesting... I'm a bit jealous you were on so many concerts, lucky you :P
:icondeviantpasta:
Thanks, I have been very lucky...

And do you still go on concerts like that?

(I'm sorry if I nag or fatigue you, if you don't want to talk, just don't answer ;))
